"We must face the fact that today we are a recognized public force, and that we will receive many benefits if we cultivate the image and the recognition that go along with that reality."

~ Meet Frank J. Devlyn, The Rotarian, July 2000

What is Rotary?

Rotary members initiate community projects that address many of today's most critical issues such as literacy, violence, AIDS, hunger, the environment and health care.

Locally you can find any of our almost 1,500 Rotarians building playgrounds, preserving and helping to maintain parks, performing life saving heart surgeries, donating dictionaries to school districts, working to erradicate Polio and much more. Rotarians are involved in the community, both locally and internationally. We have youth programs, international programs and community service programs.

Through programs like Global networking groups, Group Study Exchange, and Rotary Friendship Exchange, Rotarians tap into an international network of people who share similar interests.

If you are looking to get involved in your community - you're in the right place. Look around and find a project or program that interests you. Already have a project idea? Find a local Rotary club and meet people who may want to get involved and help you bring your idea to fruition.

That's what we do... and we can always use an extra hand.
