District 7190 was formed as a result of Rotary International assigning numbers to Districts throughout the world. We were part of several Districts throughout the years, becoming District 719 in 1957 and finally 7190 in 1991.

Albany Rotary Club was chartered No. 68 in 1913, and Troy Rotary Club was chartered No. 112 in 1914. These two clubs were the wellspring for nearly all of the clubs in what is now District 7190.
